Ishaan Awasthi is an eight-year-old boy who dedicates more time to dreaming up wondrous worlds of animals and kites than he does to finishing up his schoolwork. He has a DYSLEXIC disorder which he has difficulty of reading & writing correctly. In a very young age he bears the brunt of criticism from his parents,teachers and other people he interacts with. When he gets into far more trouble than his parents can handle, he is packed off to a boarding school to ‘be disciplined’. Things are no different at his new school, and Ishaan has to contend with the added trauma of separation from his family.
Ram Shankar Nikumbh is the temporary art teacher who encourages them to extend their boundaries of thought and imaginations. He shows special interest in finding out the difficulty of Ishaan. With time patience and care he helps Ishaan find himself and unlock the impossibility of becoming a normal kid.
One of the best Indian movie I have seen. The characters are devoid of realness. It shows the kindness, caring and overcoming the disorder. It conveys the message of how the world is cruel to put pressures to children for the name of success.
