ERASED or Boku Dake ga Inai Machi in Japanese was the most talked and recommended anime of the winter anime season. Satoru Fujinuma is a struggling manga author tormented by his fear to express himself to anyone. He has a supernatural ability to prevent tragedies or death by being sent back before the incident occurs.
The story goes Satoru to save himself from a framed murder, to save his mother from death and solve the mystery behind the grade-schoolers disappearance.
I know time travel isn’t anything new, but as always I am captivated by it. The story is a thrilling ride for me, filled with a unique plot, engaging characters and sequences that was told beautifully.
“Believing in someone.” That’s a weird phrase, isn’t it? After all, if you truly believed in a person, you wouldn’t need to say, “I believe you.” It’s like saying, “I believe in air.” I don’t mean to say that “believing in something” is like a lie. “Believing” is really a term of hope of wanting to believe. – Satoru Fujinuma
Verdict: 9/10
