“Do Kyung-Soo (Lee Yool) s the Crown Prince of Joseon, a perfectionist who disregards the majority of those in the royal palace and appears to be cold and demanding when in reality, he is lonely. He then passes the law that all women must marry before they reach the age of 28. Nam Ji-Hyun (Hong Shim) is a strong, intelligent figure who takes on multiple jobs to support herself and her father. She is also the oldest unmarried woman in her village and is in need of a husband to avoid trouble from law officials. This drama depicts how the love story of Hong Shim, ‘Joseon’s oldest unmarried woman’ and Lee Yul, the amnesiac Crown Prince, develops over the span of 100 days.”
I liked this drama from the start to the end. With the good touch of comedy, romance and action, nothing I have expected more.
The truth is, part of the story is overused mostly in the historical drama- like a political conflict, status rivalry, struggle of power and so on, but in 100 days shown how our protagonist (Crown Prince) lived as a commoner away from his castle and position. How the hundred days made him a true prince? I’ll leave it for you to watch.
One thing I also appreciate this drama is Lee Yool’s characterization. I feel that the role is made especially for him, with every other character in this drama, you’ll find yourself laughing out of nowhere. The love chemistry also has an evident effect. The cinematography was impressive.
I truly enjoyed the show, it was a little dark but mostly the scenes are hilarious and refreshing to watch.
Verdict:10/10
