Bleach (Live Action-2018)

Kurosaki Ichigo (Fukushi Sota) has always been able to see ghosts but this ability doesn’t change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with Kuchiki Rukia, a Soul Reaper and member of the mysterious Soul Society. While fighting a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans who display psychic energy, Rukia attempts to lend Ichigo some of her powers so that he can save his family. Much to her surprise, Ichigo absorbs every last drop of her energy. Now a full-fledged Soul Reaper himself, Ichigo quickly learns that the world he inhabits is one full of dangerous spirits, and along with Rukia, who is slowly regaining her powers, it’s Ichigo’s job to both protect the innocent from Hollows and to help the spirits themselves find peace.”

Bleach is one of my favorite anime but wasn’t able to finish the long series of season two to sixteen. When I heard about the movie I was kinda excited and couldn’t wait to see it.

Well, for live action, bleach is a pretty decent and interesting compared to Tokyo Ghoul which was so mundane. The fighting scenes are impressive and entertaining, though the graphics are less remarkable from my own point of view. The characterization is well spotted and the actor’s performances are plausible. I like Fukushi Sota’s acting skill too, the role is really suited for him.  Story-wise, the point from the beginning to the end is favorable because it was easy to follow.

I enjoyed the movie and will recommend it. Well, I am always a fan of Kurosaki Ichigo, just like his orange hair, he is so damn cool.

Verdict: 8/10
