“When a child gives you a gift, even if it is a rock they just picked up, exude gratitude. It may be the only thing they have to give, and they have chosen to give it to you”
When Shobe, a ten-year-old girl gave this cute toy to me, I was surprised and joyful. She actually earned it from playing games in the fun-zone, so I just can’t fathom how easy it was for her to do such an act.
Her mom told me that Shobe was trying to reciprocate my kindness to her because I always gave her something every time I came back to the Philippines. I was pleased not because I have to receive in return, but for this little girl innocence, she was able to practice the gift of giving.
Truly, it was also my first time to receive a gift from a kid, so you can imagine the smile on my face at that moment. Her sweet gestures melted my heart away.
This reminds me when we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.
Oh, I just remember I have a previous story about Shobe, check this out- https://anavenblog.com/2014/09/16/mommy-can-i-help-to-wash-the-dishes/

Such a beautiful story and yes children remember the act of giving. Loved the cute little toy and it is so nice in giving then receiving. To see joys on peoples faces is enough for us. Lovely post.
