Angel’s Last Mission: LOVE

“I make my confession.

You told me to look at this human, but I began to want her. You told me to look what’s in a human’s heart, but I keep on looking into my heart. And from my heart, my soul talks to me. I wanted to ask You this for the first time. Why am I not a human? Why am I on this side when she is on that side? Can we be angels to one another? No, if it’s possible, I wish to be a human to her. I wish to be a human who can embrace her with my warmth. I wish to be a human who can lie and say, “everything is all right.” I wish to be a human who can sometimes forget painful memories. I wish to be a human who can bleed with a cut from a knife so that she could blow on it to make it better. They may be as fragile as glass, weak, and a mess, but I wish to be a human who can risk one’s life for love. I wish to risk my life to love. Is this possible? I will find a way. A way that does not require Yeon Seo’s sacrifice or her life. I will make sure I find a way to save her. Even if it means I must turn my back from You – Angel Dan”

Dan is an angel. He is also a troublemaker and also an optimist. Yeon-Seo is a ballerina who does not believe in love. Dan then receives a mission. If he succeeds, he can return to Heaven. His mission is to find true love for Yeon-Seo, but Dan soon falls in love with her.

I’ve come to my own conclusion that this drama is one of those shows that either really works for you, or really doesn’t. In short, some viewers loved it and while others find it sub-standardized.

Honestly, I just had a good cry while watching this show. I think I was too emotional at that time or maybe the drama just simply works for me. I have no complaints and so whatever instead, I love the story no matter how surfaced it was for the others.

I like the main lead Shin Hye-Sun, she showed us a deep sense of characterization and amazing portrayals. It was my first time to see Kim Myung-Soo acting and it wasn’t bad either. The cinematography was astounding, the ballerinas and the OST are in rhythm with each level of emotions.  Story-wise, it comes with the fantasy taste of God’s work in mysterious ways and divine intervention, good enough for my own thoughts.

Verdict: 9/10
