Growing up in the shadow of her Triad father, Angie (Eugenie Liu) craves an independent life of her own. Defying her father’s wishes, she takes on a gig as an undercover bodyguard for a famous actress at an agency, where she must navigate the unfamiliar world of glitz, glamour and even love.
I’m here again for Jasper!
Anyhow, Triad Princess is bubbly, cute, funny and light comedy series that shows the violence and delinquent set of mediocre action sequences. The story is quite ordinary, but at least, it’s overall fun to watch.
The chemistry is solid between the two main leads. They look good together even though their romance doesn’t have the ample time to shine, maybe because it has only 6 episodes with 40-minutes with some side story romance that I don’t enjoy.
This show deserves a season 2 to develop the plot, the characters and the theme. It has the potential to become a more than just a triad show. They should fill up the missing spot in order for us viewers to have closure.
See you then!
