Military search troop members, including Koo Dong-Jin (Jang Dong-Yoon) and Son Ye-Rim (Krystal) try to fight against a mysterious creature and struggle to get away from the DMZ. They build camaraderie through their struggle. Koo Dong-Jin is a sergeant with only a little time left in the army. Son Ye-Rim is an elite officer and she has a secret about her birth.
Search is one of those dramas I look forward to watch every week. The plot is the coalition of military and thriller genre with unexpected twists and turns. The military action scenes while searching the mysterious creatures feels like you are playing the call of duty mobile games as they seek out those responsible for the attack. I would say this show live up to its name beyond our imagination.
The Search ended remarkably. The finale gives me a total satisfaction because the story didn’t pretend to be overly prolific, also, sounds so harsh to say, but there are characters I really want to die out in the finale, and it seemed the writer heard my interest (clap clap). I like also the simplicity of the backdrop they have presented; the barracks, the hideout, the village and the mysterious creature. Along with, the background music hits the right tone to elevate the excitement.
Character role playing-wise, it’s all great. They have done properly the job as a soldier. I love Jang Dong-Yoonand Krystal’s chemistry with the other cast different personalities, and of course, the villain, whose truly the monster of this drama (still annoyed with him). Obviously, I would recommend this to watch, Even though it is not perfect, plot holes are noticeable, it has slow pacing moments, but then, it was fun and engaging to watch.
