KOREAN DRAMA GUIDE

OUR BELOVED SUMMER

Years after filming a viral documentary in high school, two former lovers get pulled back in front of the camera and into each other’s lives.

Good chemistry. Cute. It shows how love must be feeling. The story is engaging and realistic. 8/10

THE SILENT SEA

Set in the future, where the earth has undergone desertification & suffers from a lack of water and food. The story revolves around members of a special team sent to secure a mysterious sample from an abandoned research facility on the moon.

It’s packed with the right amount of suspense and intrigue. Great cast. The CGI is decent. The plot imaginatively developed on the right time. 9/10

HAPPINESS

Residents of an apartment building must band together to survive a deadly virus that is spreading throughout the city.

The plot is quite ordinary, but it interest me. The main leads are super cute together. The villains character are very effective. 8/10

JIRISAN (Mount Jiri)

Set against the backdrop of towering views of Mount Jiri, it depicts the story of rangers and other employees of the Jirisan National Park who climb through the mysterious and unexplored regions of the mountain, trying to rescue the survivors and lost trekkers. The drama is centered around a mystery surrounding the mountain’s many visitors; those who come to kill, and those who come to end their lives.

This drama has been loved and hated. Well, I like Jirisan’s plot as much as I love the nature shown in this series. It has its own beauty and uniqueness. The whole case for me is fresh and not tedious. The cinematography is best. The whole cast is great. Sure, it started slow but the build up was good. The finale is quite disappointing for some, but overall, I was totally into it. 10/10

ON THE WOMAN

Tells the story of a tough and rogue female prosecutor, who one day loses all of her memories and changes places with a conservative housewife who looks just like her.

I am surprise of the wittiness and the humor flaunted in this series. I had so much fun. Quite entertaining and the story is easy to follow. I love the visuals of the two leads and their chemistry. 8/10

YUMI’S CELL

The drama tells the story of an ordinary office worker from the perspective of the brain cells in her head that control her every thought, feeling and action.

I love Yumi’s cell. I like the way they portray the reality of dating life and the issues that brings up in a relationship. The cells made this drama unique and refreshing. 9/10
